QUALIFICATIONS:
Pioneered the use of FDS for the Houston Fire Department. Co-author of textbook for FDS 3, FDS 4, FDS 5 and Smokeview by NIST for UHDT, SFET department.
Completed Citizens’ Fire Academy training course, Houston Fire Department.
Nine years experience using Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) and its adjunct programs Smokeview and PyroSim, from FDS 1 through FDS 5. Served as Beta tester for FDS 5.
Currently serving as Consultant, Expert Witness, Software Specialist and Volunteer on multiple FDS projects nationwide.
Strong history with eleven industrial 3D software programs in environments such as petrochemical facilities, pipelines, offshore, subsea and pumping stations. 30 years experience in Piping, Drafting, Design and Model Building. Roles included drafting team manager, instructor, senior designer, designer and draftsman. Related responsibilities included estimating, cost control, safety and fire prevention layout & design (including sprinkler systems) and software support/& tutoring.

Created FDS model of the Forward Street Fire 2007, a 4 Story, 6 Unit, wind driven building fire, for the Ottawa Professional Firefighters Association and the Ottawa Fire Department using FDS 5.
